Among other services, Very Special Kids runs a specialised hospice to provide the parents respite from the constant and demanding care requirements required for these afflicted children.

Nearly 90% of Very Special Kids’ funding is acquired from fund-raising and charitable giving, not from government funding. On June 13th, Very Special Kids ran a Fashion Sale at the Malvern Town Hall.  For this sale, top Australian and European brands were on sale at up to 90% off the retail price.

The sale was staffed by volunteer labour and achieved the fund-raising aim of $50,000 profit.

RRT was pleased to lend their support this event by providing a gourmet sandwich lunch for the 50 enthusiastic volunteers who were tending the store.  As they say, an army marches on its stomach and this was a great opportunity to help this army of volunteers on their way.
