RRT provides lunch to homeless in Melbourne VIC

Record numbers of homeless people are currently living on the streets of Melbourne. Help services are straining under fresh demand created by a “perfect storm” of economic and social pressures in Victoria.

VincentCare Victoria at the Ozanam Community Centre provides a range of support, health, housing and recreational opportunities for homeless people, or those at risk of homelessness.

On Friday the 26th of September 2014, the Rapid Relief Team in Melbourne assisted the VincentCare Victoria at the Ozanam Community Centre in cooking and serving a delicious BBQ burger lunch for about 200 homeless people.

I guess they probably do….they’re often unheard of until they’re needed the most. Take Scotland RRT…nobody really knew it existed… until the dreadful helicopter crash. But when they were needed, they responded. And amazingly!
