PBCC Hosts Open Day in Hamburg, Germany
A community in North Germany was left glowing recently by a heart warming display of Christianity after a fantastic PBCC open day was held at the Hotel “Zur Windmühle” near Hamburg, where many people from all walks of life attended and enjoyed delicious food, drink and good music.
The event was held so that persons from all societies could experience, enjoy, and observe the outreach of God’s heart to mankind. It was an excellent opportunity to share our beliefs with so many members of the community and to gain mutual understanding.
There was a very relaxed atmosphere where many questions were asked and answered, followed by free lunches served along with free Bibles.
Mouthwatering barbecued steaks, bratwurst and rolls were enjoyed, all of which was donated by the PBCC community.
The event was promoted on leaflets printed by the PBCC and distributed throughout the surrounding area and was attended by both young and old, along with the local mayor and fire crew. An outstanding musical performance followed, which consisted of a live band and a choir made up of young PBCC members.
We received great feedback from visitors to the open day on all aspects, with many comments including the following:
“Grateful that there are PBCC members living in the community”
“They support charity operations”
“Teamwork was enjoyed”
“We look forward to seeing many events happening”
The event culminated in the presentation of a cheque for 1,455.00 Euro. This was donated to the Braak voluntary fire brigade, which was very gratefully received.
