NZ – RRT Levin support the Ryda Driver Training Course August 2016

Levin RRT volunteers provided their support for the Rotary Youth Driver Awareness (RYDA) day for students from the Kapiti area, on a wet and cold day at the Southwards Car Museum near Paraparaumu.

The day consisted of workshops, live stories, and practical demonstrations of safe driving for those students involved, most of who would be approaching their first license or be in early stages of driving on our roads.

Approximately 160 students attended the program, which is aimed at raising awareness of the risks and educating youth about road safety and driving skills, especially the environment in the car at a vulnerable time of their lives, when most will be thinking about driving or will be driven by their peers.

RRT was glad to get behind this initiative by providing food for all involved, including the supervisors on a wet and cold day, and we look forward to doing more to support this worthy cause!
