Kyneton Caring Community welcomes RRT donations.
Kyneton Caring Community is a non-profit organisation committed to providing food, assistance and support to disadvantaged and at-risk families in the Macedon Ranges region of Victoria, Australia. It offers a range of support services – a foodbank, a youth group for young people aged 8 and up, pastoral care and a budgeting course. Their mission statement states that they wish to encourage people to learn to help themselves, while providing assistance through tough times.
The rate of homeless per capita in this part of Victoria is 55 per 10 000 population – a significantly higher rate than Melbourne, creating a group of at-risk people who need urgent assistance. Kyneton Caring Community fills a niche here with their foodbank and the RRT in Kyneton recently assisted them in another area – supplying basic hygiene items for improved health and wellbeing for those who are most needy in the community.
The RRT created and supplied 50 individual male and female packs which contained sanitiser, deodorant, combs, razors, grooming kits, makeup remover, soap, toothpaste and a toothbrush.
The compassionate team at Kyneton Caring Community were very appreciative of the packs donated by RRT. The RRT are very pleased to have an opportunity to recognise the often unobserved work that this great team at KCC is achieving in helping to support persons in need.
On the 14th of August a further 50 Toilet/Sanitary bags were donated to KCC. RRT are proud to be able to assist in a small way to help these truly selfless individuals.
We look forward to further supporting this organisation as part of our common vision to provide benevolent relief to persons that need it most.
