AU – RRT & the Coleman Greig Challenge
Parramatta Park was a flurry of activity at 5am on Friday the 23rd of October 2015. The annual Coleman Grieg Challenge was on again to raise funds for children with special needs.
The ‘Challenge’ was to Run 5 or 10kms, ride 40kms with A or B grade cyclists or walk 2.5kms to victory around the scenic park. Over $100,000.00 was raised from this event for St Gabriel’s school and the Royal Institute for Deaf and Blind Children (RIDBC).
The volunteers of RRT set up beverage stations on Thursday afternoon and served coffees from 5am on Friday morning. Over 350 coffees were poured for the tireless runners and riders who were unselfishly testing their endurance limits to help those in need.
RRT water stations were also at the start and finish lines to support the fantastic people who gave up their time and energy for these special kids.
Coleman Greig’s Law firm, Parramatta branch, run this annual fundraiser to help fund the amazing work St Gabriel’s School and RIDBC do for children.
St Gabriel’s school is a co-educational primary school catering for children with hearing impairment and other special needs such as intellectual disability in the mild to moderate range and autism.
