AU – RRT Moss Vale & Canberra once again support the Sydney2CAMBerra ride!

It’s a tough and gruelling ride, over 320km of diverse terrain faces the riders on the annual ‘Sydney2CAMBerra’ charity ride.

The ride raises much needed funds for families affected by SIDS and stillbirth. Spread over two days and divided into four packs, the riders left Sydney on Friday morning, having a stopover in Moss Vale where RRT provided a BBQ lunch. Despite heavy headwinds and a few flat tyres, the riders eventually reached their overnight accommodation in Goulburn.

Saturday morning, with perfect sunny and clear conditions, the riders embarked on their final leg through to the nation’s capital, Canberra ACT. The ‘A Pack’ riders arrived at Lake Burley Griffin slightly later than expected, to be cheered into the venue by the Canberra Rapid Relief Team and the rider’s family members, followed by the other packs in quick succession.

With 19 local volunteers, the RRT served over 200 beef burgers accompanied by ice cold drinks. Following the superb lunch, the riders left for their final destination, Parliament House, where the whole team then assembled for photos.

The RRT catering was received with much welcome and thanks, as one ‘A Pack’ rider put it “Thanks guys, the food was great, great job, much appreciated!”
