Countless hours of preparation on the part of the volunteers at the shop paid off with an incredible turn out on the day. Despite nearly being blown away in the wind, the RRT volunteers also had a great time providing for the sale goers with just over 200 meals. Many people visited the event, both from Kerang itself and neighbouring communities, and many also took the opportunity to visit the car boot sales and garage sales that were scattered around the town.

The word got around town at the garage sales that the shop was the place to be if you were hungry for a sausage on bread, or a juicy burger with salad. This resulted in more supplies needing to be sourced at short notice as customers just kept on coming.
