2 Days of Lunches for Sunshine Coast RDA Workshops
Sunshine Coast Riding for the Disabled (RDA) Inc. (SCRDA) is a charitable organisation that supports members of the disabled community in the Sunshine Coast region of Queensland. This organisation provides recreational riding and driving activities where participants experience enjoyment and therapeutic benefits. SCRDA relies on the efforts of dedicated persons who selflessly donate their time and on the generosity of many who donate funds to this worthy cause.
On the 7th and 8th of July 2015, SCRDA held a training workshop for its volunteers and volunteers from similar organizations around Queensland. The training workshop allowed volunteers to extend their skill sets and was an excellent networking opportunity. The SCRDA brought the Nambour RRT onboard for catering for this event.
Over the two consecutive training days, RRT volunteers with their fully self-contained service trailer were able to prepare meals with ease. On Tuesday, hamburgers were served for lunch and on Wednesday; chicken wraps were on the menu. Lunch both days was followed by various sweets and tea and coffee.
The catering was welcomed by all and described by the volunteers and coaches as a highlight. The
SCRDA event organizer said that it was a relief to know that the RRT were able to meet their catering needs. RRT was honoured to support this event.
